Chair's Message | Itinerary | Courses

Welcome to all the participants and families of the 2010 Great Lakes Police Motorcycle Training Seminar hosted by the Barrie Police Service.

I am a proud member ofthe Barrie Police Traffic Unit and also proud to be your chairman for the 2010 Great Lakes Police Motorcycle Training Seminar. Part of the Barrie Police Services’ Vision Statement states: ”To provide proactive interaction with the community”. I can think of no better group to engage members of the public than police motorcycle officers. Being motor officers, we are constantly in the eye of the public and our motor skills are always being watched. Hosting the 2010 GLPMTS in Barrie will give us a chance to demonstrate proper and safe motorcycle operations to the public.

As a professional rider the seminar will enhance your riding ability. In class lectures, practical exercises and friendly competition will be used to provide a high quality, cutting edge training experience not offerred elsewhere. There will be qualified instructors on site to supervise and assist you. I hope you embrace the unique opportunity the seminar offers you.

Activities are still being planned as I write this message.

I hope your stay in Barrie will be both enjoyable and memorable.
